NComputing X300: HP DC7800 - Stations will not start

Symptom:

Stations will not start on single- or dual-card X300 installations, and all x300 screens remain black.

Cause:

There currently exists a conflict between hardware drivers on the DC7800 and the NComputing X300 hardware drivers. There are two solutions which can resolve this, listed below.

Solution 1:

Setting change in the device manager are needed, this process involves disabling a device driver which can result in some devices not functioning. If you are not comfortable with this process, consult an IT professional before attempting.
Disable "COM3" in device manager: the Intel Active Management Technology (IAMT) hardware runs through the COM3 port, which is a "virtual" serial port. This causes a conflict with our drivers. This conflict can be resolved by disabling the COM3 port in Device Manager. This solution is valid for both 1 and 2 card implementations of the NComputing X300.
Disable a conflicting IRQ's for USB host controller.
For single card installations only.
You can identify the conflicting IRQ's by opening the Run utility, typing "msinfo32", and hitting Enter.
Within the System Information utility, go to Hardware Resources > Conflicts/Sharing and wait for the right-hand pane to refresh with your system information.
Once loaded, scroll down until you find the IRQ's for the X300 Bus Enumerator and three Graphics Controllers.
Under this IRQ, there should also be one or more USB Controllers listed.
Now, open Device Manager (right-click My Computer > Properties > Hardware > Device Manager), and expand the Universal Serial Bus Controllers category. Locate the USB controller identified above, right-click it, and select "disable".
Do this for every USB Controller that shares an IRQ with the X300 devices.
